The contractors performed a miracle. I now have a working septic. A bit of an anti-climax, considering all the nonsense beforehand. Essentially, they dump a pile of sand, gravel etc- lay pipes on it, dig a hole and put big tank in, hook up pipes to tank, house.  Pile more sand, gravel on top of pipes.  They did the whole job in less than 2 days. Absolutely exhausted. This week has been demanding. Feast stuff, work WTF, plus worky work..Also went to Peterborough and helped with a kite making workshop for several hours after a long day of work. About 2 am, there was a big crash, bump. A recent windstorm has left numerous trees, including one on my lot in varying degrees of not 90. ie falling or in the process of falling down. An hour ago I started to wonder what was different? Dogs were splayed out on their beds in front of the wood stove. mmmm not asking for dinner- they are usually quite vocal starting at about 4:30 pm.
